A center-gathered veil is folded and gathered at the
comb or headpiece. It is usually cut from a round piece of fabric. For this
reason you may see these sold as one-layer or circular-cut, as well as two-tier,
veils. When gathered at the center they are
folded over so the two halves create the appearance of two
tiers.
The fold falls along either side, with the edges at the bottom of the
veil. Some brides fold the top tier forward to create a blusher.
You can wear this veil behind or on top of the head, depending on the look
you want to create. Attached near the crown, it will frame your head. Attach it in the back--beneath a bun
or hair ornament--and
it will fall narrower down your back and look longer.
